A Tibetan nun, in exile in Nepal. She lives in a cloister near Kathmandu. Her voice is beautiful, clear and soaring. Hearing her chant spreads serenity and gives westerners a glimpse of Tibetan spirituality. With the earnings of her first CD and tour together with the American jazz guitarist and ECM musician Steve Tibbetts, she has realised her dream. Chöying built and now runs a school for young Tibetan women giving them a combined religious Buddhist and Western education. Ani Chöying Drolma has chosen the road to the West to finance her 3. World women´s educational project. This is sacred music- no ethno-pop. Traditional Buddhist chanting, by a lovely young women with a heavenly blissful voice.
